BNSF Foundation
The
makes a difference through matching employee and direct
contributions to important community programs ranging from the arts to social services
to education. Many of our employees serve on not-for-profit boards, play a part in city
governments and participate in community projects. Each year, the BNSF Foundation also
provides substantial support by awarding scholarships to children of our employees and
other students through a variety of programs. BNSF employees participate in United Way
fund drives at numerous locations across our network. In Tarrant County, BNSF and its
employees were the largest corporate donors in support of the United Way in 2012.
Friends of BNSF
In 2012, BNSF celebrated the one-year anniversary of the
website – an
online community for anyone who has ties to BNSF or a strong interest in the company and
the rail industry. The site provides a forum for rail enthusiasts to find and share unique and
entertaining information and support BNSF and the industry as a whole. Today, more than
38,000 people are active on the Friends of BNSF site.
