About Us

Need to know how to ship to Mexico from the United States? Or are you shipping from Mexico to the U.S.A.?

You need to know about BNSF Mexico.

We Are a Part of BNSF Railway
BNSF is North America’s largest rail carrier. We typically move more than 9 million loads a year. We typically operate some 1,404 freight trains per day.

Our network encompasses 32,500 route miles in 28 U.S. states and three Canadian provinces.

And BNSF is a financially sound partner. We are a Berkshire Hathaway company, which makes us part of the 4th largest corporation in the United States.

We Are Experts in U.S.-Mexico Trade
The value of U.S.-Mexico annual trade is expected to grow $166 billion to $461 billion by the end of 2020. With our network, our capacity and our expertise, BNSF Mexico is well-positioned to help shippers take advantage of that growth.

BNSF Mexico has operations in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey in Mexico and in Fort Worth in the U.S.A. The BNSF Mexico team is made up of bilingual experts who understand your needs and are ready to give you access to our in-depth understanding of U.S.-Mexico import/export requirements. Our highly experienced group knows the unique opportunities and challenges of transporting freight to and from Mexico.

BNSF Mexico facilitates shipments between the U.S.A. and Mexico through five key gateways: San Diego, El Paso, Eagle Pass, Laredo and Brownsville.

We provide access to Mexican markets via connections with Ferrocarril Mexicano (FXE) and KCS Mexico (KCSM); we provide access to United States markets beyond the BNSF network via connections with CSX Transportation and the Norfolk Southern; and we access Canadian markets via connections with Canadian National and Canadian Pacific.
