Initial Report: Train Derailment near Mitchell,NE (Powder River Division)

On Thursday September 10,2026 at approximately 1:23 P.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Mitchell, NE which has affected the main track. Mitchell, NE is approximately 10 miles northwest of Scottsbluff, NE. 
BNSF field personnel responded to assess the derailment site. The estimated opening of the main track is Friday September 11,2026 at 10:00 P.M. CDT
