Initial Report: Forest Fire near Halsey, NE (Sand Hills Subdivision)
On Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 at 5:15 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a forest fire near Halsey, NE which has affected both main tracks. Halsey, NE is approximately 175 miles east of Alliance, NE. BNSF personnel are responding to assess the affected area. The estimated time for opening both main tracks has not been determined at this time.
