Final Report: Train Derailment near Templeton, IA (Bayard Subdivision)

On Thursday, March 6 at approximately 3:24 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Templeton, IA which has affected the main track. Templeton, IA is approximately 22.2 miles west from Bayard, IA. BNSF personnel responded and assessed the site. The main track was returned to service on March 7th, 2025, at 7:58 p.m. CDT.
