Final Report: Train Derailment near Ottawa, KS (Emporia Subdivision)

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 12:46 A.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Ottawa, KS which has affected both main tracks. BNSF personnel responded and assessed the site. Main track one opened on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 12:30 P.M. CDT, and main track two opened on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 08:30 A.M. CDT.
