Billing Changes for Moves on Texas Pacifico Railroad Effective January 1, 2022

Date
Dec 8, 2021

BNSF Railway is modifying the accounting relationship we have with the Texas Pacifico Railroad (TXPF). Currently, TXPF operates as a BNSF handling carrier, which allows BNSF to publish rates directly to and from their stations.

Effective January 1, customers will need to submit separate waybills to BNSF and TXPF for shipments on our respective rail lines. San Angelo Junction, TX is the interchange location between BNSF and TXPF.

For shipments destined to TXPF:

  • Submit billing to BNSF with a destination of San Angelo Junction, TX and a routing of BNSF Direct.
  • Submit a separate waybill to TXPF with an origin of San Angelo Junction, TX and the destination station on TXPF.

For shipments originating on TXPF:

  • Submit billing to BNSF with an origin of San Angelo Junction, TX to the BNSF destination using a route of BNSF Direct. For shipments destined offline to another carrier, please use the appropriate interchange junction and routing.
  • Submit billing to TXPF with the actual origination station on TXPF and a destination of San Angelo Junction, TX.

Customers will receive separate freight bills from BNSF and TXPF and will pay the respective railroad freight bills per the terms of pricing.

If you have questions, please contact your BNSF account representative. For questions to TXPF, please contact Denise Norris at 325-942-8164, or via e-mail at customerservice@txpf.us.

Your business is important to us. Thank you for choosing BNSF Railway as your transportation service provider.
