BNSF - Environment - Emergency Responders

Emergency Responders

BNSF has an extensive system of emergency responders to cover our 32,500-mile network. These responders are trained and outfitted to handle the response to small non-accident releases, as well as major releases. They are supported by a team of professional, highly experienced responders located at Fort Worth, Texas; Schaumburg, Ill.; and Topeka, Kan. This support team has responsibility for monitoring all emergency responses, mobilizing remediation and response contractors, and lending technical support when necessary.
