trespassing, BNSF Resource Solutions Protection Team started the Trespasser Abatement Program. The Trespasser Abatement Program is an intensive four phase action plan that coordinates efforts of the local community, media, BNSF operations, and  the Resource Protection Solutions Team.

Trespasser Abatement Program:

  • Takes advantage of being good neighbors with local communities throughout the country
  • Addresses the needs of the Community, BNSF Railway, and its Customers
  • Reduces crime
  • Saves lives
  • Increases customer satisfaction
  • Promotes a safer work environment
  • Positively affects the BNSF bottom line

The Trespasser Abatement Program is guided by a committee of  Resource Protection Solutions Team members. These members meet regularly in an effort to promote the use of abatement programs and to solicit new ideas that could assist the Resource Protection Solutions Team in reaching its goal of eliminating trespassing on its property.  For more information about the Trespasser Abatement Program or to contact the committee member nearest you may contact Ken Shaw, Committee Chairman at kenneth.shaw@bnsf.com.
