BNSF's CEO to Address Transportation Leaders Conference

FORT WORTH, Texas, June 4, 2001 :

Matthew K. Rose, President and Chief Executive Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (NYSE:BNI), will address the Merrill Lynch Global Transportation Leaders Conference on Wednesday, June 6, 2001.

The presentation will describe BNSF’s strategic initiatives and market opportunities.
