BNSF's President and CEO to Address 2001 Global Transportation Conference

FORT WORTH, Texas, February 12, 2001:

Matthew K. Rose, President and Chief Executive Officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (NYSE:BNI), will address the Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown’s 2001 Global Transportation Conference on Wednesday, February 14, 2001.

The presentation will describe BNSF’s strategic initiatives and financial results for 2000.
