BNSF Honors Truck Drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

BNSF honored truck drivers hauling cargo to select intermodal facilities as part of National Truck Drivers Appreciation Week Nov. 1-7.

Signage, refreshments and giveaways were part of the celebration at Alliance, Texas; Memphis, Tenn.; Seattle and San Bernardino, Calif. Members of BNSF's truckload sales team were on hand to meet with truck drivers.

"These events are our way of saying thank you to our trucking company partners and their drivers who, along with railroad employees, are the backbone of ensuring the products American consumers use daily are delivered safely and efficiently," said George Duggan, BNSF vice president, Domestic Intermodal. "By working together, trucks and trains are providing transportation solutions for companies across the nation."

In addition to the facility events, BNSF sent celebration kits to 59 of its truckload customers, including J.B. Hunt Transportation Services Inc.; Schneider National Inc.; Swift Transportation Co. Inc.; U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc.; and Werner Enterprises Inc.
