After submitting your application, you may receive an email with a link to take a mandatory online assessment to which you will have five (5) calendar days to complete.
Jobs are typically posted 90 days prior to the anticipated start date. If you are available for the anticipated start date on the job posting, apply online through our careers website. We advise that you start applying for career opportunities with BNSF Railway 90 days prior to transition leave from the military.
After submitting your application it may take up to 4 weeks until you hear something regarding your status. Should you receive a conditional offer; the pre-employment process can take 6-8 weeks.
Once an online application is submitted, the information on that application cannot be changed or updated. Applicants can update their personal profile and any changed or updated information, will be indicated only on the newly submitted application. Applicants are encouraged to click save after all updates.
G.I. Bill benefits may be used for approved degree/certificate programs, and apprenticeship/on-the-job training at BNSF Railway. Not all programs qualify. Military leave, without pay, will be granted to all employees who leave the services of the Company to enlist, be inducted, or be called or recalled to active duty into the Armed Forces of the United States.
